205 Tranquility

In Anxiety, Gabitril on February 21, 2008 at 4:31 pm

Some of us can function better when medicated with the perfect pill. My friend is Gabitril. Its a drug prescribed to me by my doctor for anxiety. Despite its small size (2 Mg) it seems to have worked wonders for me. Listen as I talk from the parking lot in Opelika, Alabama. Total running time: 36 minutes 41 seconds. (Stereo) MP3. Recording device: Zoom H2.

  1. On a technical note from a listening point of view – the H2’s stereo sound doesn’t have the degree of separation of the channels that the binaurals have – the way that those really do give ya the sense of being immersed in the soundscape. The Zoom has the richer, more complete, sound that stereo gives as opposed to mono but nowhere as total as the binaurals. Liked the sound of the birds & the distant hum of the traffic – and the train too, a very evocative sound.

Hasn’t McCain just had a skeleton come out of his closet – some old affair with a campaign worker or some such? Saw him on TV desperately trying to explain that one away with that Barbie doll of a wife standing beside him with a fixed smile on her overly made-up face, in a gesture of support. Obviously the lure of possibly becoming the First Lady overcomes any doubts she may have about her husband’s fidelity. The same applied to Hilary Clinton ….it didn’t bother her none, back in the day, what old Bill got up to…….. but then she IS supposed to be a lesbian anyway. I’m just sayin’ ….it’s what I’ve heard…..

If you do go for surgery on that torn ligament it’ll mean much more than just a day off work for the actual surgery – it’ll take quite a while after that for it to heal enough for you to be able to drive & resume normal daily activities. Depending on what the surgeon repairs, it could be weeks. But don’t let that stop you getting it fixed – there’s no way you can live any kind of an enjoyable life with the amount of pain & disability that you’ve got at the moment.

  2. The drug had not fully kicked in when I recorded this podcast.
