  1. Looking forward to seeing the movie clips Nick – in many ways the 1960’s American South was very similar to 60’s Johannesburg, South Africa both in architecture & geography. The lifestyle was very alike too & I feel a sense of familiarity when I see stuff like this of yours.

    Jo’burg had snow only once during my childhood there, a freak snowfall in the winter of 1964 which lasted 36 hours before thawing – it was a magical event for me & my brothers. ( First snowfall in the region for 60-odd years). That was the first ever time I had seen snow & didn’t get to experience it again until we moved to the U.K. five years later.
