Suffering
I’ve been sick all day. That’s the reason why I’m so late in uploading today’s podcast. After explaining my illness, I talk about a new set top device I purchased from Netflix to stream movies to my HD Television. I explain how the device works and the quality of the picture using this set top box. I talk about some of the movies I’ve watched thus far. It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad world happens to be one of my all time favorite “screwball” comedies. Ethel Merman is great in that flick. I’ve been watching that movie every couple of years since I was a kid.
Too bad you weren’t up to attending one of the demonstrations in your area. I went to the one here in KC and it went surprising well, at least as far as I was concerned. Even happened to get a glimpse of your buddy, John Ong, in the distance as I was leaving. Looked like he was busy with his Zoom H2. Hope your health is back to normal soon. Take care.
This gadget sounds intriguing …..I guess the stream must be compressed & this decompresses it and buffers it too. One of the U.K. telecoms/ISP companies has something which sounds very similar but as it relies on a speedy internet connection to function well, & that is certainly a bit hit & miss in a lot of areas of the U.K., the uptake of the service has not been a success. For example, my own ADSL broadband connection in this apartment is via Ye Olde Twisted Copper Wires & via a telephone exchange or two – so you can imagine the effect that has on overall speed. True of a great number of properties over here.
