387 Orchestral Music

In Uncategorized on July 22, 2009 at 1:05 pm

I play a sample of an orchestral piece found in the 1968 film, “2001: A Space Odessey”, but it was not written for the film. “Thus Spoke Zarathustra” was composed in 1896 by Richard Strauss. This piece would turn me onto, “music without words”. Mic: Shure SM7B; Mixer: Mackie DFX6; Recording device: Garageband. Total running time: 30 minutes 05 seconds. A Brief History of My Existence.

In Uncategorized on July 19, 2009 at 2:15 pm

Go here to view two new video’s I uploaded this weekend to my gallery. Both were shot with my iPhone’s camera. The first is a tour of Birmingham’s Southside “Highland Avenue South” area. I show you the apartment’s I lived in when I first moved to the “Ham” in the early 1980’s (right after graduating from the University of North Alabama) with my lover (you heard me) my lover Rick. We lived together one year in Florence, then moved to Birmingham. Our relationship was more like an ongoing boxing match than a love affair. It ended after two years. For the first time, I would become independent of anyone. It would be sink or swim time for me. I moved into a one room efficiency (just down from where Rick and I had lived together) near Rushton Park. Read the rest of this entry »
