I always wonder: what do these people want with houses this big? What a waste. To be fair though, I thought we were poor, but my parents just bought a house for over $500K (CAD).
(although, if Matt moved out and went on with his life on his own, THEN he’d be “middle class”.)
What a LIFE SAVER!!!!!!! Hi everyone, it’s been a while since I commented. Listen intently to all episodes but just always driving!
SO……. any ways, it came to pass that the company I drive for could not find me a load to get back to to home in South Carolina so they gave me a trip to Indy. Now here is my predicament, we have to have a 34 hour break at the end of each week, I could either rush up to Indy and sit at a truckstop all weekend or stay in Mobile, AL first (get the 34 hour break there) Then go to Indy. Then It dawned on me that I could visit NICK, so yay, been a while! SO called him up and made plans, arrived Saturday morning, parked one exit away and he came to pick me up.
I just have to thank him SO MUCH for the most enjoyable, pleasant, relaxing, fun weekend. I don’t think he realizes how much I think of him cause I kinda clam up and don’t talk. But he was so accommodating, taking me to get meals, etc. It rained like crazy all weekend. I enjoyed watching 4 episodes of American Idol, cause I dont ever really see any TV shows. He really does watch all the Political shows too
He happened to be playing on the computer and played a Pet Shop Boys video/song. I mentioned wanting to get a copy and YA’LL LET ME TELL YA!… It was as if I had won the MUSIC CD LOTTERY!!!
He opened a kitchen cabinet and it was SO SO SO amazingly full of ALL the great music I remember for the Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode era!!! I mean I had a good many of them, but DEAR GOD he has all the individual CD singles with the mixes and all the extra stuff. I was SO impressed!! Then he showed me his box set of the New Depeche Mode Sounds of the Universe. It was slick. So i burned so many into my iTunes, it was almost obnoxious, I would have thrown me out if I was him
But of course he didn’t. It was just so nice to talk with someone who had the same musical tastes, cause my other half surely does NOT!
I really don’t know why NICK hasn’t been snatched up before Matt. OH and by the way, Matt, you better watch out, cause I think Nick may have secret plans to get you pregnant, cause he sure was watching that black and white Pet Shop Boys video with the babies and commenting on every little cute kiddy he saw on other TV shows. He is a big softie inside!
OK, that’s enough from me now, gotta go drive back down to Atlanta. Just thought everyone should know how great NICK really is and how thankful i am that I didn’t have a horrible weekend at the truckstop!!!
Great conversation, guys! I like that Matt calls Nick on his b.s. a bit. That’s part of what relationships are for. Mr. X doesn’t nag but will sometimes gently nudge me into a more proactive direction.
About the money discussion, we have a nice but fairly modest place out in the suburbs. Our place would probably be $200K+ more if we were downtown. Matt is right that this area is very expensive and there aren’t a lot of other housing options. I have a dream of cashing out and moving somewhere cheaper to retire.
There is some old money floating around but most people have built up wealth through decades of hard work. It took me years to get what I have and I don’t consider myself wealthy. Even someone who is born into wealth won’t necessarily hold onto it without effort.
If I had Matt’s fit, 18-year-old body, I would be jerking off a lot too! I’d never leave the house!
Mr. X and I have lots of gay friends and we don’t play around with any of them. We just like to hang out, talk, watch DVDs, go for walks, have potlucks, all that kind of stuff. It probably would be great for you, Nick, to make some gay friends who live in the area.
