593 The Night Before Christmas

In Uncategorized on December 24, 2011 at 8:48 am

Clement Clarke Moore (1779 – 1863) wrote the poem Twas the night before Christmas also called “A Visit from St. Nicholas” in 1822. It is now the tradition in many American families to read the poem every Christmas Eve. This is my reading of this most famous of Christmas poems. I hope you have a very, merry Christmas! Link to alleged victims testimony (Read this and explain to me why these guys kept seeing Sandusky)

John’s email message:

Nick,
Hello. I still listen. I know you don’t listen to any podcast anymore. Your struggle with the recent child abuse case really irked me. Not at you. But at the fact that I wish I can explain it to you. So, I decided to write you this email. I know in a simplistic way why you felt that the victims are not quite victim enough if they didn’t reject from the abuser. When it comes to minor sexual abuses, it’s not only the sex. It’s the mind control that the abuser does to the victims. Either by threat. Or by supposed “caring”. Abuser strikes a relationship where the minor trust and admire the abuser. And the minor will feel guilty putting the abuser in any harm or jeopardy. When it comes to sexual abuse. It’s complex. Don’t forget the emotional part. Yes, you may come across to many as dumb for saying some things. But I appreciate your honesty. Even though it’s painful to hear sometimes. Here’s an article I found about how even minor may have felt pleasure. Rare, but exist. Then the victim has to deal with the extra guilt that they actually felt good. Does that make the abuse ok? No. As responsible adults. We have the rights to take care and protect them.

Read the entire article. And google more about child abuse.

Regarding the arbitrary minor age limit. Obviously it’s not always effective. But playing it safe to protect the kids. We should rather embrace the arbitrary limit then risk hurting kids.

Sorry to hear about your financial situation. It’s a hard hard time now. Hope we will all get out is this dump sooner than later. According to what I read, probably not until 2013-15. Oy.
Take care. John Ong
